Brown Parkinson has been continuously involved in a litigation practice in the State and Federal Courts in South Carolina since 1981, focused primarily in the defense of individuals, institutions, governmental entities, and corporations in personal injury and other tort matters. For much of his career, he has been involved in the defense of serious personal injury and medical malpractice cases and in claims involving pharmaceuticals and medical devices. He also regularly represents medical professionals in licensure and disciplinary matters before state licensing boards. When not acting as an advocate and counsel to litigation clients, he enjoys helping to resolve matters outside the courtroom while serving as a certified civil court mediator and civil court arbitrator.
Brown grew up in Greenville, SC, and graduated from Christ Church Episcopal School, Erskine College, and the University of South Carolina School of Law. He and his wife Greta, a licensed professional counselor, live in the Greenville area and are active parishioners at Christ Church Episcopal. In their spare time, they enjoy the beach, the mountains, golf, cheering on the Gamecocks and Braves, and spending time with their children and now grandchildren.
